When you search for a league yoga instructor, there won’t be much information.

But here we will walk you into interesting information about league yoga instructors!

All Yoga Instructors Must Try Practice Yoga In The League Field

There’s nothing quite like attending a baseball game on a warm, summer afternoon. From the cheering fans in the crowd to the wide variety of mid-game snacks, the atmosphere is unbeatable.

Yet in a few weeks, for the second time this summer, a day at the park will become even more exciting, as Nationals fans will have the opportunity to participate in a group yoga practice following the ballgame.

The 45-minute class will be led by Chris Parkinson, a certified instructor of VIDA Fitness, a boutique studio with several locations in NoVA and Washington, DC.

Parkinson is no rookie in the outfield. He led this event several times for participants of all ages and skill levels. While Parkinson leads the crowd from a large stage within the stadium, between 10 to 20 other instructors from VIDA will be present to assist new yogis with the proper movements and align poses of those with more experience.

In addition, individuals will get to take home a unique yoga mat, as well as other surprise giveaway items. Plus, be on the lookout for a few of the racing presidents who may be practicing their downward dog alongside fans in the outfield.

ANYWHERE IS A GREAT PLACE FOR YOGA!

Yoga In The League Field Open To All Ages and Abilities

Local yoga instructors lead participants of all ages and all levels of ability in a free yoga session on Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium in Shelby. The event, known as “Yoga in the league field,” will be held rain or shine.

This will be the third year for Yoga in the Outfield, which is organized by Janet Horn Miller of Yoga Exercise Science (YES) Yoga in Shelby.

Sponsored by ALWS, the Horn Family, Cleveland Physical Therapy Associates, and YES Yoga, the event will benefit the American Heart Association in memory of Horn. Participants who donate $5 or more will receive a ticket for all of the ALWS games.

“The mission of the event is to educate and help people learn how to avoid heart disease,” says Horn. “It’s the number one killer of both men and women. Every 40 seconds someone has a heart attack and more than 800,000 people died of heat-related illnesses last year.”

The major risk factors for heart attacks and heart disease are lack of exercise, being overweight, and a poor diet. This event targets those risk factors for area residents.

“Yoga is simply any movement that you do while focused on your breath,” Miller says. “These will be easy yoga stretches that anyone can do. All ages from toddlers to seniors are welcome, and no experience is necessary.”

Yoga In The League Field Brings Yoga To Angels Stadium

Yoga In the Outfield Alex Roberts and Chelsey Lowe are athletes turned the league yoga instructor, who leads a yoga class on the field at Angels Stadium on June 30.

The two played sports at the University of California, Santa Barbara where Roberts played soccer and Lowe played volleyball. The pair discovered how yoga’s benefits helped them when they played.

Admission for the event costs $15, which covers the yoga class, tickets to the game, and donations for breast cancer research.

Hundreds of folks are expected to get their vinyasa on, in one of the coolest or perhaps peculiar places, a major league baseball outfield.

And then baseball fans who aren’t sure about yoga can use it as an excuse to get on the field and maybe find something that will alter their lives for the best.”

With attendance down throughout Major League Baseball for the fourth straight years, the Angels are always looking for ways to broaden their base.

A surreal experience for Alex Roberts and Chelsey Lowe who grew up just down the road. Now they have a chance to teach the practice that changed their lives. They can share that magic with all who show up for Yoga in the Angels’ Outfield. So that’s all about the league yoga instructor experience.
